A Swan Song

An alien species drifted through space on one of the few life preservers that his species had created, but before he could recover completely a malfunction forces the creature to find the nearest populated planet. Thus sets off a series of events in a desperate bid to not only survive but also try and thrive as the last of his species to find someone to bond with.

With the hive growing the aliens decide to use their newfound resources in order to expand, growing their tendrils within the building to gain enough of their kind to properly propagate the rest of their plans.

With the protection of their newest drone the two aliens look to expand their numbers, setting their sites on viable targets that will aid in their new species' propagation.

The alien Noah has converted his mate and the two have started to consider what to do in order to continue to spread their kind, but their lack of technology experience comes back to bite them in the tail after they are caught. Fortunately one thing that the aliens do know what to do is to assimilate those who do have those skills.

With the alien and Noah integrated with one another and his survival assured, he began his plans to figure out what to do next once he had gotten his first host.

The alien creature manages to survive landing on the planet but hasn't gotten to bonding with Noah to the point of reasserting himself. Being inside a host has allowed him to start healing though and as he regains his strength he is more than ready to try again, especially since his failure would mean the disappearence not only of him but his species in general.
